Gebbers hits first professional home run

Hawkins Gebbers, who was drafted in the 33rd round by the Seattle Mariners, hit his first professional home run last Friday.

Gebbers was assigned to Class A short season Everett AquaSox where he has been on a tear since the start of the young season. He has played in 9 games and is currently batting .412 (14-34) with 3 doubles and 9 RBI. The home run came against the Spokane Indians where he was batting 3rd in the lineup.
