Help send your favorite AppleSox player to the 2011 West Coast League All-Star Game. For the first time WCL history, fans will get to select one member of their team to play in the All-Star Game. Below is a poll that includes the name of some of the AppleSox top performers this season. If you would like to write in a vote for a player that is not listed, email your vote to info@applesox.com.
After a two-season hiatus, the 2011 WCL All-Star Game will be held at Goss Stadium in Corvallis, Oregon on Tuesday, July 26.
The AppleSox are back at Paul Thomas Sr. Field for the team’s longest stretch at home of the season. The nine-game homestand began in grand fashion on Sunday night. The AppleSox won a 13-inning battle over the Walla Walla Sweets 2-1 on fireworks night in front of 1,985 fans, the second largest crowd in team history.
The AppleSox annual July 3rd post-game fireworks display is set for this Sunday. Bring the family out to the ballpark for a great night of baseball followed by a post-game fireworks show.
The Applesox hit the road to face the always tough Corvallis Knights in a three-game series beginning Thursday. It will be the second and final series during the regular season between the two teams. Wenatchee took two-out-of-three from Corvallis in the first series, but the Knights ended the AppleSox WCL record 14-game winning streak.
The expansion Klamath Falls Gems are making their inaugural trip to Wenatchee on Monday to open a three-game series with the AppleSox. The two teams have already met this season, with the AppleSox sweeping the first series played in Klamath Falls.
The AppleSox are back at home this weekend for a two-game non-league series with the Portland Ports. It will be the first non-league games of the season for the AppleSox, who will take a break from WCL play five times this summer. The Ports are a member of the WCL-Portland and feature players from colleges around the northwest.
After a nine-game road trip the AppleSox finally return home to begin a three-game series with the Corvallis Knights. The streaking AppleSox enter the series on a 14-game winning streak, the longest in team history.
The red-hot AppleSox are off to Walla Walla to conclude their nine-game road stretch. Being on the road has not fazed the AppleSox, who broke the record for best start in team history after beginning 11-1 on the season.
The first road trip of the season continues for the AppleSox as they face the Cowlitz Black Bears in a three-game series at Story Field beginning Monday night. The AppleSox enter the series on an eight-game winning streak. Wenatchee is 8-1overall and is coming off of a sweep of the Klamath Falls Gems.
The AppleSox make their first trip to Kiger Stadium for a three-game weekend series with the Klamath Falls Gems. The AppleSox enter the road trip 5-1 on the season, after sweeping the Kelowna Falcons at home. The expansion Gems are off to a good start, coming into the series with a 3-2 record.
