(8/16/10)- Thank you to all the fans who made the “Christmas in August” food drive at the August 11^th home playoff game a wonderful event. AppleSox fans raised over $1200 and brought in over 750 pounds of food to help the local Salvation Army to fill up their nearly bare pantries.

Bell ringers from the Salvation Army were on hand to make to give the food drive an authentic “Christmas in August” feel. Christmas music was even played throughout the ballpark during the game. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success.
