Come meet the entire AppleSox team and get a FREE autographed team poster courtesy of Pepsi at Memorial Park this Saturday, August 6th. The team will be at the park signing autographs and giving away FREE posters from 11 AM to 1 PM.
This year the annual autograph party is part of a community barbeque/fundraiser that Pepsi is hosting for their employee Chris Hastings, who was involved in a racing accident at the Super Oval. We hope you can join the AppleSox and Coyote this Saturday from 11 AM to 1 PM at Memorial Park.
The AppleSox are back at home to begin the final regular season homestand of the year. The team will face both the Kelowna Falcons (Tuesday-Thursday) and the Bellingham Bells (Friday-Sunday) to wrap up the regular season at home.
The AppleSox complete head to Bellingham to complete the road trip with a three-game series against the Bells. Wenatchee comes into the series fresh off a sweep of the Kitsap BlueJackets and with a WCL best 33-9 record.
The East All-Stars pulled out the 4-2 victory over the West at Goss Stadium in Corvallis to win the 2011 All-Stars. The East featured ten AppleSox players and were led by the Wenatchee coaching staff.
The AppleSox are back at Paul Thomas Sr. Field to begin a three-game weekend series with the Bend Elks. The Elks are the only team that Wenatchee has lost a series to all season long. Bend swept the AppleSox last weekend at Vince Genna Stadium in Bend. Wenatchee comes into the series fresh off a sweep of the Kelowna Falcons.
The Wenatchee AppleSox climbed the latest Perfect Game Top 25 summer collegiate baseball poll to the #3 spot in the country. It’s the highest ranking for the AppleSox of the season, who were previously ranked #7 and #4.
The AppleSox hit the road to begin their first series of the season with the Bend Elks. Wenatchee opens the three-game weekend series at Vince Genna Stadium on Friday. It will be the first time the AppleSox and Elks have played since facing off in the 2010 WCL Championship Series.
The AppleSox longest stretch at home of the 2011 season wraps up with single games against Walla Walla on Monday and the last non-league game of the year Wednesday against the Portland Baseball Club. Monday’s game with the Sweets is the rubber match of the series that began July 3rd and the 4th, with each team pulling out a come from behind victory.
The Wenatchee AppleSox Baseball Club teamed up with Apple Valley Honda to make a donation to the Royal Family Kids Camp after “Go Green” night at the ballpark on June 24th. To highlight the ecologically-friendly Honda product line that was on display at the ballpark, the AppleSox wore special green jerseys during the game as the AppleSox beat the Portland Ports. After the game, the jerseys were auctioned off to the highest bidder. The net proceeds totaled $780.
