Sparks helps the Wenatchee AppleSox down the Corvallis Knights 8-3
Taylor Sparks knocked in three runs, sparking the Wenatchee AppleSox (4-2) to an 8-3 victory over the Corvallis Knights (3-2) on Saturday at Paul Thomas Field at Wenatchee. He homered in the fourth inning.
Tony Bryant also put together a nice outing. The Corvallis Knights managed just two hits off of the Wenatchee AppleSox's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2-2/3 innings of work.
Derek Callahan recorded his second win of the year for the Wenatchee AppleSox. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered seven hits.
Trevor Frank was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
The AppleSox also broke another team record this year with a total paid attendance of 44,009!
