The AppleSox have finalized the schedule for the 2012 season, which will begin in Bellingham on June 1st and feature a franchise record 60 games.
The first home game will be Tuesday, June 5th as part of the opening six-game homestand against the Bend Elks and Corvallis Knights.
“We are pleased to announce that the AppleSox have added value to our 2012 season for fans and sponsors by adding an additional game to our regular season in 2012,” said AppleSox owner/general manager Jim Corcoran.
“For our 13th season we are excited to have our largest schedule in team history. We once again are looking forward to celebrating summer one inning at a time at Paul Thomas Sr. Field,” said Corcoran.
Six of the AppleSox games will be against non-league opponents, which includes the Portland Bucks and Portland Dukes of the West Coast League Portland, the WCL’s developmental league. The Central Oregon Bucks will also come to town for a two-game series. It will be the first trip to Wenatchee for the Central Oregon Bucks, who are a feeder team for the West Coast League’s Bend Elks.
The number of teams and divisional alignment will remain the same in the West Coast League for the 2012 season.
Single game tickets start at just $6 for adults and $5 for kids. Season tickets are available now and can be purchased by contacting the AppleSox office at (509) 665-6900.
