|AppleSox Open at Home Friday|
The Wenatchee AppleSox return to Paul Thomas Sr. Field Friday for the first home series of the season, after taking two out of three games on the road from the Walla Walla Sweets. The Kitsap BlueJackets will be in town for a three game weekend schedule beginning with the home opener of the 2010 season tonight. First pitch for all three games, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, will be at 7:05 PM.
The AppleSox will send the flame throwing right-hander from Lower Columbia College, Jeff Ames, on Friday. Ames, who has a fastball that has been clocked at 96 mph, was drafted by the Colorado Rockies this week in the 30th round of the major league draft. The AppleSox will start fellow Lower Columbia College pitcher Tim Culligan Saturday and returning AppleSox pitcher Zach Gallagher from the University of Hawaii will take the mound on Sunday.
There are plenty of good seats available for all three games. The ballpark ticket booth opens each night at 6 PM. Fans can also purchase tickets online by clicking here.
