The Wenatchee AppleSox Baseball Club have been named the Honorary Grand Marshals for the 2011 Stemilt Growers Apple Blossom Grand Parade at Wednesday’s All Service Club Luncheon. Close to 400 attended the luncheon at the Wenatchee Convention Center. Accepting the suprise honor were owner/GM Jim Corcoran and head coach Ed Knaggs.
In addition to Corcoran and Knaggs, the AppleSox were represented at the event by co-owner/assistant GM Ken Osborne, communications director Chris King, and team scorekeeper/statistician Bruce Bennett and his wife Rexine.
Corcoran, Knaggs, Osborne, King, and team mascot Coyote will ride in the Stemilt Growers Grand Parade on Saturday May 7. Parade begins at 11am.
