The Wenatchee AppleSox return home tonight for a two-game set against the Portland Dukes at 7:05 PST. The Dukes, hailing from the West Coast League-Portland, are the second non-league opponent for the AppleSox in the 2012 campaign. Wenatchee (18-3) took both games from Central Oregon just last week. The Sox enter tonight on a tear. Wenatchee has won its last seven league games and nine overall, moving the club 3.5 games ahead of Kelowna for first place in the East Division. The team is fresh off a series sweep of the Kitsap Blue Jackets – Wenatchee’s second straight series sweep. The Sox moved up to #4 in Perfect Game USA’s poll of the top collegiate summer league teams with the sweep. Game tickets can be purchased online at www.applesox.com or in advance at the Town Toyota Center box office in Wenatchee. Tickets are also available for purchase on the day of the game at the Paul Thomas, Sr. Stadium ticket booth, which opens an hour before each game.
