Six AppleSox Earn All-WCL First-TeamPosted by ffadmin in Untagged |

Eleven members of the 2011 Wenatchee AppleSox have earned All-West Coast League honors. West Coast League president Ken Wilson announced the 2011 All-WCL teams as voted on by member head coaches.
The AppleSox placed six players on the 15-member first-team, more than any other team in the West Coast League. Two AppleSox players made the All-WCL Second-Team, while three earned honorable mention.
Outfielders Payden Cawley Lamb (Gonzaga) and Breland Almadova (Hawaii), first baseman Brock Gates (Pacific Lutheran), third baseman Adam Nelubowich (Washington State), pitchers Owen Jones (Portland) and Alex Phillips (Kentucky) were all named to All-WCL First-Team for the AppleSox.
Outfielder Ryan Barnes (Oregon State) and catcher Aaron DeGuire (Lewis-Clark State) both earned All-WCL Second-Team honors while infielder Pat Valaika (UCLA), pitcher Phil Ferragamo (UC Irvine), and pitcher Keeler Brynteson (Portland) were named All-WCL honorable mention.
