Fireworks to Highlight Game 2 vs. Walla WallaPosted by admin in Untagged |
|

The day many fans have been waiting for all season is finally upon us. Fireworks Night is set to take place tonight at 7:05 at Paul Thomas, Sr. Baseball Stadium.
The complimentary fireworks show is sponsored by Cobb Asset Management/Marie Cobb and will take place following the conclusion of tonight's game between the AppleSox and Walla Walla Sweets.
The Sox didn't want to have to wait until tonight, however, to get the fireworks started. Wenatchee took game one 3-2 over the Sweets behind a dominant pitching performance. Derek Callahan got the nod on the mound and struck out eight batters, and Drew Jacobs and Tyler Kane finished things off with five and two strikeouts respectively.
Combined, the Sox pitchers struck out 15 Walla Walla hitters. That's only a pre-cursor of what's to come tonight.
Fireworks night is annually the biggest seller for the AppleSox, and this year appears to be no different. The Sox expect more than 1,500 fans to pack the main grandstand and general seating areas at Paul Thomas, Sr. Baseball Stadium tonight as the No. 3 AppleSox go for season win number 20.
Purchase tickets online here or in advance at the Town Toyota Center box office. General admission tickets will also be available at the stadium ticket booth, which opens one hour prior to game time.
