AppleSox Welcome Corvallis Over the Weekend

A-Sox_vsAfter taking the series from the Cowlitz Black Bears on the road, the AppleSox are back at home tonight to start a three-game series with the Corvallis Knights. The final home series of the regular season will be a rematch of the last two West Coast League Championship Series. The AppleSox fell to the Knights in 2008, but swept Corvallis to capture the 2009 title. The AppleSox enter the series with a seven-game lead in the East Division, while the Knights come to town the top team in the West Division.

First pitch for all three games of the weekend series is scheduled for 7:05 pm. Come out to the ballpark and cheer on the AppleSox as they take on their West Division rivals. To buy tickets online, click here.

AppleSox Start Road Series with the Bells

A-Sox_vs._Bells_Road_TripThe AppleSox have wrapped up non-league play for the season after sweeping the Portland Toros and now turn their attention to the Bellingham Bells. The AppleSox hit the road for a three-game series with the Bells starting Thursday night.

Wenatchee will start Marco Gonzales on Thursday, followed by Zack Gallagher on Friday, and Tim Culligan to wrap up the series on Saturday. After the series in Bellingham, the AppleSox will be back at home Sunday for a two game series with the Bend Elks, the top team in the West Coast League’s West Division.

ASOX_vx_WCL_Portland_2The AppleSox are back in action at home beginning tonight after taking two out of three games north of the border against the Kelowna Falcons. Wenatchee enters the two-game non-league series with the Portland Toros in first place in the West Coast League’s East Division. The AppleSox enter the non-league series with a three-game lead in the division over the second place Moses Lake Pirates and a five-game lead over the third place Kelowna Falcons. First pitch for both Tuesday and Wednesday night is set for 7:05 pm.

AppleSox in Kelowna for Weekend Series

WCL-Portland_PicThe AppleSox made their way north of the border to begin a three-game series with the Kelowna Falcons. The AppleSox picked up the game one victory thanks to solid pitching from three Lower Columbia College Red Devils. Tim Culligan picked up his third win of the year and was followed by Todd Griffiths and Jeff Ames who combined to throw four scoreless innings in relief.

Wenatchee will start Scotty Burris in game two of the series on Saturday night. First pitch is at 7:05 pm at Elks Stadium. The AppleSox will turn to Michael McIver on the final game of the series Sunday which is at 6:05 pm. AppleSox Open Series with Second Place Pirates

A-Sox_vs._Moses_Lake_WebsiteThe AppleSox will put their division lead on the line as they begin a three-game series tonight with the Moses Lake Pirates. First pitch for all three games at Paul Thomas Sr. Field is set for 7:05 pm. After a hot start, the AppleSox busted out of their recent slump by taking the series from the Walla Walla Sweets over the weekend. The AppleSox (14-11) enter the series with a 1.5 game lead over the second place Pirates (12-12). Wenatchee swept the three-game series in Moses Lake when the teams met up for the first time this season. Tickets are still available for all three games of this important series. The series will include great events every night at the ballpark. Tuesday night is Make a Splash-Dunk Your Mayor Night sponsored by Washington Trust Bank. Fans will have the chance to dunk Wenatchee Mayor Dennis Johnson and East Wenatchee Mayor Steve Lacy to help raise funds for the Wenatchee Valley YWCA. Wednesday night Cherry Creek Radio will be hosting a gear drive and broadcasting live before the game. Fans are encouraged to bring gently used or new baseball gear that will be donated to the NCW Fall Ball Association. Finally Thursday will be the annual Mascot Night sponsored by Dr. Cara Schroeder, Children`s Dentistry. Coyote has invited all his fellow mascot friends who will be out in full force at Paul Thomas Sr. Field Thursday night.

AppleSox Start Six Straight at Home

Kalei_WebsiteThe AppleSox are back in action starting tonight against the non-league Portland Dukes to begin a six game homestand. The AppleSox go into the non-league series with a 12-9 record in league play, which puts the team in first place in the West Coast League's East Division with a two and a half-game lead over the second place Moses Lake Pirates. After the two games series with the Dukes, the West Division leading Bend Elks will come to town for one night on Thursday, and the expansion Walla Walla Sweets will make their first appearance in Wenatchee for a three-game weekend series starting Friday night.

First pitch for all six games of the homestand is at 7:05 pm. Tonight Zack Weiss from Irvine, CA will get his first start of the year for the AppleSox. The UCLA commit is fresh out of high school and was picked in the 10th round of this year's MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Wednesday night the AppleSox will start Stuart Fewel, a right-hander from Oregon State University. Tickets can be purchased online to any of the six games by clicking here.

AppleSox Post-Game Fireworks Show July 3rd

Fireworks_NightThe AppleSox annual July 3rd post-game fireworks display is set for this Saturday. Bring the family out to the ballpark for a great night of baseball followed by a post-game fireworks show.

First pitch for the game is at 7:05 pm at Paul Thomas Sr. Field with the fireworks display beginning after the game. To purchase tickets online, click here. The game will be the second of a three-game series with the Kelowna Falcons. The first game of the series will be Friday with first pitch at 7:05 pm, and the series will wrap up on the 4th of July with a special 5:05 pm start.

AppleSox Hit the Road for Corvallis Series

A-Sox__CorvallisFresh off of a two game sweep of the Portland Stars, the AppleSox resume league play as they travel to take on the Corvallis Knights in a three-game series starting Tuesday. The AppleSox and the Knights are familiar rivals, facing each other in the last two WCL Championships.

The AppleSox head into the series in first place in the WCL's East Division. Wenatchee has an 11-4 league record on the season and has won ten of their last eleven games.
