Ed Knaggs- Head Coach
Knaggs is entering his 10th season as the AppleSox head coach. He has lead the AppleSox to four league championships, winning the Pacific International League Championship in 2003 and the West Coast League Championship in 2005, 2006, and 2009. He played at UC Irvine and was an assistant coach at Gonzaga University for seven years. He also spent one season as an assistant coach for Chatham A's of the Cape Cod League. He has served as Wenatchee High School’s head baseball coach since 1991 and was instrumental in bringing back American Legion baseball to the Wenatchee Valley.
Rob Hippi- Pitching Coach
Hippi has been with the AppleSox since 2006. He comes to Wenatchee each summer from Lower Columbia College, where he has been the pitching coach for 22 years. He was the pitching coach for the Alaska Goldpanners when they won the Alaska Baseball League title in 2002 and 2003, as well as the N.B.C. National Championship in 2002. He had a decorated college career as a pitcher at Central Washington University, where he is third all-time in strikeouts and was inducted as part of the 1968 baseball team into the CWU Athletics Hall-of-Fame. Professionally, he pitched in the New York Yankees organization from 1970-1972. Rob and his wife, Marysue, reside in Longview.
Fletcher Vynne- Assistant Coach
Currently a graduate assistant for the Seattle University baseball team, Vynne is entering his first season with the AppleSox. As a player he helped the University of British Columbia win the NAIA World Series in 2006. He served as team captain his senior season while leading the team in home runs. Upon graduating from UBC in 2008, he began working on his master's degree in sports administration and leadership at Seattle University. His coaching duties with the AppleSox include hitting coach, first base coach, and scouting. He is originally from Friday Harbor, WA.
