Though the AppleSox drew first blood in Walla Walla Friday night they struggled through the next few innings, giving up nine runs in all and eventually the win to the Walla Walla Sweets in the first game of the WCL divisional playoffs.
The Wenatchee AppleSox will begin their quest for a third straight West Coast League Championship Friday night, opening a three-game series in the Divisional Round with the Walla Walla Sweets.
The AppleSox are off to Walla Walla to take on the Sweets in the final regular season series of 2011. The matchup could very likely be a preview of WCL Divisional Playoffs. Coming into the series, the Sweets just need one win or a Bellingham Bells loss to clinch the final playoff spot in the East Division and a first round matchup with the AppleSox.
The AppleSox have officially clinched the team’s fourth straight East Division Title. That means the AppleSox will have home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Tickets are available now for the AppleSox home playoff game on Saturday, August 13th and can be right now by

The AppleSox are back at home to begin the final regular season homestand of the year. The team will face both the Kelowna Falcons (Tuesday-Thursday) and the Bellingham Bells (Friday-Sunday) to wrap up the regular season at home.
The AppleSox complete head to Bellingham to complete the road trip with a three-game series against the Bells. Wenatchee comes into the series fresh off a sweep of the Kitsap BlueJackets and with a WCL best 33-9 record.
The East All-Stars pulled out the 4-2 victory over the West at Goss Stadium in Corvallis to win the 2011 All-Stars. The East featured ten AppleSox players and were led by the Wenatchee coaching staff.
The AppleSox are back at Paul Thomas Sr. Field to begin a three-game weekend series with the Bend Elks. The Elks are the only team that Wenatchee has lost a series to all season long. Bend swept the AppleSox last weekend at Vince Genna Stadium in Bend. Wenatchee comes into the series fresh off a sweep of the Kelowna Falcons.
