Guest Services Crew
Location: Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium
Season: Late May – Mid August
The Wenatchee AppleSox are seeking energetic, outgoing, and reliable individuals to join our Guest Services team for the summer season. Guest Services Crew Members are a vital part of AppleSox gameday operations and play a major role in creating a fun, welcoming, and memorable experience for every fan who enters Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium.
Guest Services Crew Member
Pay: $17.50 per hour
Typical Hours: Report at 4:45 PM Monday–Saturday, 3:45 PM Sundays (end time varies by game)
Status: Seasonal, Summer Position
Position Overview
The Guest Services Crew Member is a key part of the Wenatchee AppleSox game-day experience. This role helps prepare the ballpark before gates open and assists with promotions, fan engagement, and customer service throughout the game.
Guest Services staff work closely with the Guest Services Manager, Promotions Team, and Front Office staff to ensure fans have a fun, organized, and memorable experience at every AppleSox game. In addition to engaging with fans, this role also helps maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of the ballpark throughout the game.
Responsibilities
Assist with ballpark setup before gates open, including promotional tables, signage, and giveaway items
Help organize and run on-field promotions and between-inning games
Interact with fans and help select participants for on-field contests
Provide excellent customer service and assist fans with questions or needs
Help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the ballpark during games, including:
Picking up trash in seating areas and concourse spaces
Monitoring high-traffic areas to keep them clean and safe
Assisting with quick cleanup needs as they arise
Assist with fan engagement activities and in-game entertainment
Work with AppleSox staff to ensure a fun, safe, and organized game-day environment
Represent the AppleSox in a positive and professional manner at all times
Qualifications / Requirements
Must be 16 years or older
Must be able to work the majority of AppleSox home games throughout the summer
Outgoing, friendly, and comfortable interacting with fans of all ages
Energetic and willing to be on the field and in front of crowds
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Previous customer service, theater, school leadership, or sports experience is a plus, but not required

Ballpark Maintenance Crew
Location: Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium
Season: May 23 – August 14
The Wenatchee AppleSox are seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to join our Ballpark & On-Field Maintenance team for the summer season. These roles are a vital part of AppleSox gameday operations and help ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment for players, staff, and fans.
Ballpark Maintenance Crew Member
Pay: $17.50 per hour
Typical Hours: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (schedule assigned by the Ballpark Maintenance Manager)
Status: Seasonal, Summer Position
Position Overview
The Ballpark Maintenance Crew Member is a vital part of the Wenatchee AppleSox game-day operations at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium. This role is responsible for ensuring that the playing field and surrounding ballpark areas are clean, safe, and fully prepared before the arrival of players, coaches, officials, and game-day staff.
Crew members work closely with the Ballpark Maintenance Manager, Guest Services Manager, and Director of Ballpark Operations to maintain a professional, well-presented facility that meets Wenatchee Valley College and West Coast League standards—enhancing the experience for both players and fans.
Responsibilities
Perform daily field maintenance from May 23 through August 14 on a rotating schedule
Rake, push broom, and water the infield to repair divots, holes, and high-traffic areas
Spray foul lines from first and third base to the warning track on the first day of each home series
Maintain, organize, and properly store groundskeeping tools and equipment
Operate basic field equipment, including drags, nail drags, hoses, blowers, and the turf sweeper
Use the turf sweeper machine to remove debris from the field turf as needed
Ensure dugouts, bullpens, batting cages, and warning track areas are clean, organized, and game-ready
Blow debris and pine needles throughout the ballpark each morning, including:
Concourse areas (fan walkways and common areas behind Sections A–D, from first base to third base)
Seating areas (General Admission bleachers and Premium Seating in Sections A–D)
Front gate and third base gate
Assist with general ballpark upkeep and facility maintenance, including:
Trash removal throughout the ballpark (concourse, bathrooms, clubhouse, umpire room, dugouts, press box, and Guest Services booth)
Replacing all trash liners before team arrival
Sweeping and setup of group experience areas and sponsor tables as needed
Assist with banner installation and breakdown before and after the season (outfield and concourse banners)
Opportunity for additional on-call game day hours during high-attendance games and special events, including Fireworks Nights and promotional giveaway games
Qualifications / Requirements
Ability to work weekends and holidays, including all AppleSox home games (late May through mid-August)
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Previous groundskeeping, facilities, or baseball operations experience preferred but not required
Prior experience operating grounds equipment or utility vehicles is preferred but not required
(Ballpark Maintenance Team utilizes a John Deere Gator for on-field duties such as dragging and spot-filling dirt)
Knowledge of baseball field layout and rules is a plus

Photographer

Season: Late May – Mid August
The Wenatchee AppleSox are seeking a motivated, creative, and reliable Photographer to join our Media and Game Day Operations team for the summer season. This position plays an important role in capturing the AppleSox experience and providing real-time photo content throughout the season for social media, marketing, and team use.
Photographer
Pay: ($17.50-$30) Hourly rate varies based on experience, technical ability, and previous sports photography experience.
Typical Hours: Report at 4:00 PM Monday–Saturday, 3:00 PM Sundays (end time varies by game)
Status: Seasonal Internship Position
Position Overview
The Photographer is responsible for capturing game action, fan experiences, promotions, sponsor activations, and the overall ballpark atmosphere during Wenatchee AppleSox home games. This role works closely with the Media Team, General Manager, and Communications Director to ensure a complete and consistent photo library is captured each game.
This position is ideal for students or individuals interested in sports photography, media, marketing, or live event production.
Responsibilities
Photograph AppleSox home games, including:
Game action
Player photos
Between-inning promotions
Fan experiences and crowd shots
Sponsor activations and group outings
Stadium atmosphere and special events
Team celebrations and postgame moments
Upload and organize photos during the game in coordination with the Media Team, so photos can be used in real time
Work with the General Manager and Communications Director to ensure a complete set of photos is captured each game
Maintain and organize photo files by game and event for team archives
Assist with media day, team photos, promotional shoots, and community events as needed
Ensure camera equipment is handled properly and stored safely
Represent the AppleSox in a professional manner when interacting with players, fans, and staff
Qualifications / Requirements
Must be able to attend all AppleSox home games throughout the summer season
Experience with photography and camera equipment required
Sports photography experience preferred but not required
Ability to edit photos quickly during games is preferred
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, live event environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with staff and players
Dependable, punctual, and organized
Ability to move around the stadium, stand for long periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Knowledge of baseball is a plus, but not required
Photography, journalism, and media students, or individuals building a portfolio, are strongly encouraged to apply

Mascot Performer

The Wenatchee AppleSox are seeking an energetic, outgoing, and reliable individual to serve as the team Mascot Performer for the summer season. The mascot is a major part of the AppleSox fan experience and plays a key role in entertainment, fan engagement, and community appearances throughout the summer.
Mascot Performer
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Typical Hours: Report at 5:00 PM Monday–Saturday, 4:00 PM Sundays (end time varies by game)
Status: Seasonal, Summer Position
Note: This position includes additional appearances outside the game schedule, such as community events, sponsor appearances, parades, and promotional events.
Position Overview
The Mascot Performer is responsible for entertaining fans, participating in on-field promotions, and representing the Wenatchee AppleSox at games and community events. The mascot helps create a fun, family-friendly, and high-energy atmosphere at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium and throughout the Wenatchee Valley.
This position works closely with the Guest Services Manager, Media Team, and Front Office staff to execute in-game entertainment, promotions, and appearances. The mascot is expected to be highly interactive with fans of all ages and help create memorable experiences throughout the season.
Responsibilities
Perform as the AppleSox mascot at all home games
Participate in on-field promotions, between-inning entertainment, and fan engagement activities
Interact with fans in the seating areas, concourse, and entrance gates throughout games
Take photos with fans and assist with birthday announcements and special moments
Maintain high energy and positive body language while in costume
Represent the AppleSox at community events, sponsor appearances, parades, and promotional events outside of game days
Work with the media team on photo shoots, social media videos, and promotional content
Help maintain and care for the mascot costume and equipment
Work with AppleSox staff to ensure a fun, safe, and organized entertainment experience at games and events
Represent the AppleSox in a positive and professional manner at all times
Qualifications / Requirements
Must be able to attend all AppleSox home games throughout the summer
Must be available for additional appearances outside of game days, including community events and sponsor appearances
Outgoing, energetic personality and comfortable entertaining in front of large crowds
Comfortable interacting with children, families, and large groups of people
Ability to perform in a mascot costume in warm summer weather
Ability to move, dance, and be physically active for extended periods of time
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Theater, dance, cheer, mascot, or performance experience is preferred but not required
Must have reliable transportation for community appearances and events
