ROAD TRIPIN’
Wednesday marks the end to the season’s opening road trip...at six days, it is the longest road trip on the schedule...Wenatchee has seven three-game trips remaining this year.=

PITCHING STAFF SETTLING IN
The AppleSox pitchers are starting to fall into a rhythm...they have surrendered an average of four earned runs each of the last two games and have the HarbourCats to an opponent low in hits, each of the last two nights, giving up eight knocks Monday and just six last night.

PLAYING FOR THE SERIES
The AppleSox go for series win number one on this young season, tonight...the last AppleSox series win was also on the road, July 23-25, 2016 at Bellingham, two games-to-one.

PACING THE WCL
The AppleSox lead the WCL in home runs, with five, and Vela and Johnson are tied for the league lead with two home runs, each...Johnson’s 7 RBI tie up with Gresham’s Tyler Parker and Yakima’s Mitch Ellis for best in the WCL...Jarrod Molnaa is tied for second in the WCL with 10 strikeouts.

STRONG OFFENSE
Wenatchee’s 9 runs, 13 hits, four extra-base hits, and three home runs, Wednesday, were all season highs...the pitching staff also held its lowest runs against total, at four.

QUICK PACE
Four-of-five games have been completed in nine innings for the AppleSox this year...those games average a time of two hours and 19 minutes...about 30 minutes under the AppleSox average time of game last season.

MARATHON, NOT A SPRINT
The AppleSox open the year with 18-straight games, obliterating the previous team record of nine games, set twice in 2007 and 2014.
