TOO CLOSE TO CALL
The last three meetings between the AppleSox and Walla Walla Sweets have been decided by just one run, and Walla Walla won each of those contests...the AppleSox have only won three of their last ten games against the Sweets and have lost six-consecutive games, which is the longest such losing streak in the series history for the AppleSox.

SOMETHING ABOUT SOUTHPAWS
Wenatchee has got to get it figured out against left-handed pitchers...Wenatchee is 4-7 versus southpaws this year and will face two Walla Walla left handers to finish off this important three-game series.

NEW KID ON THE BLOCK
Alek Jacob makes his AppleSox debut tonight...the Spokane native has started for North Central High School each of the last four seasons, three times being named First Team All-Greater Spokane League....as a senior, he was named All-State in the 3A...in 2016 as a junior, he led the league in strikeouts and earned Second Team All-State honors...over the last two summers, he played for the Spokane Expos, tossing a four-hit shutout against the Spokane Dodgers in 2016 and was named All-State in 2017.

LESS THAN SWEET
Wenatchee is 17-8 versus the WCL North, but would be 17-4 if it wasn’t for the Walla Walla Sweets...the Sweets won the season series last night, but the AppleSox can still take the current series...Wenatchee is 1-6 in its last seven home games against all WCL opponents.
