Morisaki walks off game two against the Lefites!

With the lights bright and the stage set, Kanoa Morisaki delivered for the ‘Sox. His RBI-single in the 11th walked off the Lefties and gave Wenatchee the series win.

The ‘Sox got out to a 4-0 lead early in the game, thanks to key hits from Gage Wareham, Landon White, and Aidan Lopez. However, the lead did not last long. A pair of home runs from Sam Matosich and Noah Betanco got the Lefties on the board and tied the game.

It stayed deadlocked all the way to the ninth, with the ‘Sox leaving five runners on base in that span. To make matters worse, Wenatchee went three-up three-down in the bottom of the ninth to push the game to extras.

Extra innings proved to be a staring contest, with the ‘Sox and Lefties taking turns leaving runners on base.

However, the Lefties blinked first when Morisaki climbed to the plate in the 11th. The kid from Honolulu smoked a ball up the middle and said good night to the home crowd, ending the game with a flourish.

Easton Brooks was the standout pitcher for the ‘Sox, tossing 4 ⅓ innings of scoreless relief and striking out seven batters in his wake.

Now with the series win locked up, the ‘Sox will be hunting the sweep in game three. First pitch is at 6:35 p.m tomorrow at Paul Thomas Senior Stadium.
