'Sox secure 15 series wins this season!

With a comfortable win over the Kamloops NorthPaws, the AppleSox took home their 15th series win of the season. They beat the NorthPaws 12-3 in game two and are now teed up for back-to-back sweeps on the road trip.
Wenatchee got out to an early lead, scoring eight runs in the first four frames. With a comfortable cushion, Sean McGrath kept the NorthPaws at bay.
The righty threw 6 ⅓ innings of one-run baseball sitting down the side in order for five straight innings. He walked only one batter and struck out five.
It wasn’t until the seventh inning that McGrath finally started to shake. After coughing up a walk, the ‘Sox handed it off to Damian Pantoya out of the pen. Pantoya went just ⅓ of an inning, allowing two runs off three hits and a walk.
Then, it was Tyler Schuyleman who was trusted with the escape job. Schuyleman pitched the remaining 2 ⅓ innings of the ballgame and held the NorthPaws scoreless.
James Castagnola stood out at the plate for Wenatchee, going 3-for-6 with an RBI-triple late in the game to give Wenatchee some insurance.
The ‘Sox offense also drew 13 walks in the game. Those 13 free passes helped set a new team record for single-season walks at 305. The previous record was 300, and now the ‘Sox will be adding to history in every remaining game.
Wenatchee will aim for the sweep tomorrow afternoon in game three against the NorthPaws. First pitch is at 12:05 p.m at Norbrock Stadium in Kamloops.
