August 7 vs Walla Walla

The Wenatchee AppleSox closed out the regular season on Sunday afternoon against the Walla Walla Sweets. While the Sox were defeated, there was still excitement at the ballpark when Joichiro Oyama broke the single season steals record for the West Coast League. The Sox are off on Monday, and then travel to Kamloops to take on the NorthPaws for the first round of postseason play. They will return home regardless of Tuesday’s result to play a home playoff game on Wednesday night at 6:35 p.m.

August 1 vs Cascade Collegiate League Showcase

The AppleSox emerge victorious on Monday night against the Cascade Collegiate League Showcase. A new wave of talent made their first appearances in an AppleSox uniform, including head coach Mitch Darlington, pitching coach Aaron Vaughn, and hitting coach Marcus Lydon. The winner of the “Play for the AppleSox” contest, Eddie Pichardo, received his at bat and inning in left field. The Sox hit the road again for a three-game set against the Yakima Valley Pippins starting on Tuesday.
