AppleSox Unveil 25th Anniversary Team

The Wenatchee AppleSox have revealed their 25th anniversary team on the eve of the team’s 25th season.

The team consists of eight fielders, a designated hitter, a utilityman, five starting pitchers, a relief pitcher and a closer. Several players played multiple seasons with the AppleSox but this list was determined based on the best individual seasons in team history. AppleSox owner Jose Oglesby (2018-present), head coach Mitch Darlington (2022-present) and former broadcaster Joel Norman (2018-24) collaborated on this list.

Four players on the list have appeared in the major leagues (Brandon Bailey, Cole Gillespie, Keston Hiura and Michael Toglia). Two listed players were named WCL MVP (Toglia and Joichiro Oyama). A detailed look at each player and their statistics can be viewed below. To view each season’s statistics, please visit applesox.com/seasonbyseason-stats.

The Wenatchee AppleSox Baseball Club was founded in 1999 and played its first season in 2000. The AppleSox played in the Pacific International League from 2000-04 before helping to co-found the West Coast League in 2005. Wenatchee has captured six league championships (2003, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2012), nine division championships (2002, 2004, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2024) and made 16 postseason appearances (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024).
