Wenatchee advances to the North Division Championship!
/After shutting out the Falcons the night before, the ‘Sox took them down in game two. The 8-3 win gives the ‘Sox the series and punches their ticket to the North Division Championship game.
Wenatchee struck early and often, scoring two in the first, two in the second, and three in the third. It was a pair of Bulldogs who got the ‘Sox on the board, with Ryder Young scoring two with a single and Landon White clearing the bases with a double. Then, it was Raphael Dunne and Paxton Bigby who both singled in the third to extend the lead.
Vincent De Marco got the start for the ‘Sox, pitching 4 ⅔ innings and allowing just one run while striking out four men. Then, it was Chihiro Sato who took over and got the win, going 2 ⅓ innings of relief and only allowing one run. Finally, Easton Brooks took the reins in the eighth, and coasted Wenatchee to the win.
The win knocks Kelowna out of the playoffs and sends the ‘Sox to the North Division Championship game. As the highest-seeded team in the WCL, Wenatchee will host the game on Tuesday, with first pitch at 6:35 p.m at Paul Thomas Senior Stadium.
